Product Description
Piles or hemorrhoids are painful veins in the rectum and anus. They can be internal or external and they are mostly caused by constipation, an issue analyzed in another article of this site. They are also caused by hepatic congestion. Whatever the cause, if it is not cured, piles will reappear.
Herbal remedies can be used for internal or external piles. Most herbs used are astringent or stimulate blood vessels in the area. Pilewort (Ficaria ranunculoides) is a common herb used it these remedies. If a pilewort infusion is not effective, witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) can also be used. In case of constipation, hepatic herbs can be helpful, such as dandelium root (Taraxacum officinale L.) or goldenseal (Hydrastis Canadensis). To relief the discomfort, a pilewort ointment can be used after defecation.
