Product Description

In this article we will mention herbs and herb combination that can help our organism to face a particular health problem, bronchitis. We always emphasize on the fact that no herbal remedy can substitute our doctor and the treatment our doctor recommends. Bronchi are calibres of airway that transfer oxygen to lungs. Bronchitis is a bronchi inflammation of any kind.

The most suitable herbs for bronchitis are those for thoracic infections that combine expectorant action, to clean the sputum, with emollient properties, that comfort and smooth the webs.

Such herbs are aniseed, angelica root, coltsfoot, comfrey root, elecampane root, flax, hyssop, thyme and horehound. Antimicrobial herbs can also help against all types of inflammations. The most important antimicrobial herb is garlic in all its forms (raw, garlic oil or garlic capsules). The antiseptic oil contained in garlic is excreted by the lungs and eliminates bacteria. The problem is its smell. Even if we massage our foot with garlic, its smell will be noted in our breath! Other herbs with antimicrobial action suitable against bronchitis are echinacea, eucalyptus and thyme. Antiseptic volatile oils from eucalyptus and thyme are very beneficial in the form of inhalation or in the bath too. To prepare an herbal bath, pour one litre of boiling water onto 4 or 5 spoonfuls of eucalyptus and thyme in equal parts and let it cold for 30 minutes. Filter and add fresh water. Then take a bath of 38 degrees for approximately 15 minutes. If the lymph glands are swollen, we can stimulate the excretion by adding cleavers and American pokeweed.
